And the work begins...

OMG, I'm exhausted...got alot done last night though! Including some demolition which Jenn was more than willing to help with! I got some videos of Jenn aka "Sheera" and I'll try to get them on FB one of these days!
I'm posting a list of things that need to be done and then just keep it running so that I can see how far we're getting.

To Do (in new house, before move in):
- Tear up living room floor Done Nov 24/09
- Install new subfloor & flooring in living room
- Clean kitchen Done Nov 24/09
- Clean main floor 1/2 bathroom Done Nov 24/09
- Clean upstairs main bathroom
- Clean master bathroom Done Nov 24/09
- Rip up carpets on stairs Done Nov 24/09
- Rip up carpets in bedrooms
- Rip up carpets on upstairs landing
- Paint master bedroom
- Install new switch & outlet covers in master bedroom
- Paint boys' bedrooms
- Install new switch & outlet covers in boys' bedrooms
- Install flooring in bedrooms
- Install flooring on upstairs landing
- Replace toilet in boys' bathroom
- Clean boys' bathroom
- Clean linen closets
- Clean food pantry
- Change locks on front door & door to garage
- Clean out basement & remove "bar" Done Nov 24/09
- Replace all burnt out light bulbs
- Get time/day confirmation from landlord for stair carpet install
- Get landlord to rent garbage bin
I think that's it before we move in...

Then we have to clean the old house...That shouldn't be bad though.  A couple hours work (cleaning the carpets, floors, bathrooms) and it should be done.

After we move in, the rest of the list:

- Paint kitchen
- Paint kitchen cupboard doors
- Replace or tile kitchen counter tops
- Paint living room
- Paint entryway & hallway to garage
- Paint main floor half bath
- Paint stairway and landing upstairs
- Paint boys' bathroom
- Build wall for D's room
- Install flooring in C & D's rooms
- Install drop ceiling in C & D's rooms
- Replace baseboards in hall to garage and kitchen
- Replace all switch & outlet covers not replaced

Tonight, I'm taking a break from cleaning and demolishing and am planning on making a trip or two (maybe) with the van to move some things into the linen closets, bathrooms, etc.  Although I think I might also get to the house with the kids and sit and watch the carpets upstairs be ripped out LOL  Who knows...I'm so tired today!
