In 2 weeks and 4 days!!! Holy toledo! When we decide things, we decide quick and move quick LOL We've been in our current house for 2.5 years now. It's clearly too small and we knew that going into it. Our landlord had a property open up not too far from our current house and called and asked us to do an inspection on it and a list of repairs before renting it out again (we do work for him, repair, showing houses, etc.). Stacy had been there, I hadn't. So when we pulled up to the house on Sunday after dinner, I was surprised at how big the house was. First thing I noticed was an oversized double attached garage on the front of the house. Then inside I told Stacy I wanted it LOL It's double what we have now, plus the garage, a large yard with a huge deck that backs onto a fantastic green space/park for the kids!!! The kids won't have to change schools, which was my #1 concern.
There are some things that need to be done first before we can officially move in.
*Fix leak in upstairs bathroom (so that we can turn the water on)
*Paint all bedrooms
*Rip out carpet in bedrooms and replace with wood flooring
*Replace flooring in living room
*Replace upstairs bathroom toilet (we have the toilet, just need the wax ring seal)
Those five things will make the house habitable for us. As long as we can get that stuff done in the next two weeks (should be more than manageable), we're good to go! We are going to start moving stuff over late this week/weekend that we won't need for the next few weeks and put it all in the garage. So, moving day (December 12) won't be a huge deal.
I've picked up everything I need to start cleaning the place up, so that will start tonight after work. I'll head directly there after picking Cheyanne up and getting her a mouthguard at the sports store. I've also already got dinner done for tonight :D so I can clean clean clean! Then I'll go home with the little kids, put them to bed and get one of the teens to watch them while I go back and clean some more. I also want to bring the linen boxes to unpack that, but we'll see!
Until tomorrow!
